From there, you will follow the footsteps of the Lewis and Clark expedition, trace the rugged Western Migration trails, and follow the cattle trails winding out of Texas. You will stand where gold and silver were taken from the earth and where the first oil derricks rose. You will watch a nation connect and transform through the Transcontinental Railroad.

Marvel at the innovations that shaped the modern world: medical advancements and vaccines, the harnessing of electrical energy, the telephone, the automobile, the airplane, motion pictures, television, and the internet. You will witness Americans walking on the moon and the dawn of space exploration. You will watch a nation rise to the challenge of two World Wars and other conflicts, standing as a global beacon of liberty and triumphing over the darkest forces of the twentieth century. Within "The American Journey," you will find the defining events of a nation.

Be a witness to the struggles for freedom: from the fiery declarations of abolitionists to the resounding echoes of the Civil Rights movement, you will see a people continually marching towards a more perfect union.
