WELCOME TO
THE ROAD MAP TO AMERICA
1776-2026
In the long history of the world, no other nations have enjoyed such a continuous, distinguished relationship as Canada and the United States of America. They are two sovereign countries charting their own independent course, sharing the longest undefended border among the nations of the world. It is a relationship built on trust, respect and mutual admiration, serving side by side in peace and in global conflict. As President John F. Kennedy said of this relationship:
“Geography has made us neighbors. History has made us friends. Economics has made us partners. Necessity has made us allies. Those whom nature has so joined together, let no man put asunder. What unites us is greater than what divides us.”
John F. Kennedy May 17, 1961 Ottawa Canada.
On this momentous occasion, the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America. We, the people of Canada, extend our hand of friendship and congratulations across the border. We invite you to take this ” Roadmap To America ” journey through the history of this great Republic. To witness the birth of an idea, of a nation through words inscribed on parchment
